What's the difference in Aun and Au Bessaku? The Aun shinai (Pronounced "Ah-oon") is great for practice. It is well balanced, and has slightly strronger tip profile that adds density where it is needed the most. The Aun Bessaku shinai is ideal for shinai. The shape of the staves makes the shinai feel "faster", but its slightly tlhinner tip profile make it less suited to everyday practice. Will you notice the difference? If you are a regularly practicing kenshi, probably. If you are yudansha, definitely.
